GETTING STARTED
Up and running in three steps
It takes about a minute. You only do the first two once.

Add Pepper to Chrome
Head to the Chrome Web Store and choose Add to Chrome. The pepper icon appears in your browser toolbar — click the puzzle-piece menu and pin it so it's always handy.

Connect your Pepper account
Click the pepper icon in your toolbar. Open the Pepper app, go to Profile → ⚙️ Settings → Desktop Version and either scan the QR code or paste in your secret code. You should see a checkmark to confirm Connection

Save your first recipe
Open any recipe. A red pepper button will appear in the bottom-right corner. Click it to save the recipe to your Pepper profile. Congrats! The button will change to a Checkmark to confirm it’s been saved.

Questions, answered
What can the extension see?
Only the recipe on the page you're looking at, and only to decide whether to show the save button. Nothing leaves your browser until you click save — and then only the recipe itself is sent to Pepper. It doesn't read your browsing history.
Do I need a Pepper account?
Yes. Pepper saves recipes to your personal collection, so you connect the extension to your account with the secret code or QR from the Pepper app. It's a one-time step.
Why don't I see the button on some pages?
The button only appears when there's a recipe to save. On a search page, a homepage, or an article with no recipe, it stays hidden on purpose.
Is it free?
The extension is free to add and use with your Pepper account.
